At the 125th Anniversary Eastbourne Rovers awards night, the Eastbourne Rovers athletics section celebrated another fantastic year for its athletes.
Best performance male went to Bailey Wright for running 10.7 seconds in the 100m to earn an England Vest, the first rover to do so in many years. Best Performance female went to Molly Swingler. Best performance junior awards went to Moyo Sargent and Harriet Armstrong. Most improved awards went to Rose Chaplin, Shania Martlew, Pyers Lockwood, Matthew Grindrod and Richard Jones. Richard Jones also won the Don Turner XC Senior trophy. The Jessie Jones Shield XC girls trophy team went to the u13 girls relay team of Ellie Mclean, Isobel Chapple and Eleanor Strevens. The Junior XC Cups went to Eleanor Strevens and Ilya Korchev. The Don Starr 10k Road Trophy went to Chris Dodd, the Mile Cup to Seb Cirillo, LeRoy Trophy to Barry Morris, Carole Russel Trophy to Jahziah Williams, Jim Lindsay Rose Bowl to Eddie Dennis and Lifetime Achievement Award went to Janis Long. The Don Ranger Trophy went to the club record breaking U20 relay team of Liam Hennessey, Mason Dowle, Bryn Smith, Bailey Wright and Moyo Sargent. The Multi Events awards went to Esme Campbell-Marshall, Bradley Eisnor, Brian Slaughter and Liam Hennessey. The League points awards went to Joe Morris and Emma Noel, U17 points to Liam Hennessey and Esme Campbell Marshall, Vets Points winners were Grant Stirling and Emma Baker,U13 points winners were Ben Brown and Eleanor Strevens, U15 Points awards went to James Stephen and Kyla Francis.
